AbovEdge™ Call Sever can easily be linked to a remote VoIP device such as an IP phone or softphone through the Internet. It enables out-of-office staff to communicate as if they were in office.

When the centralized trunk architecture is implemented, a single AbovEdge™ is installed at the main location. There is no need to install individual AbovEdge™ at each remote location. All incoming and outgoing calls from remote locations are routed through the AbovEdge™ installed at the main location. This enables centralized management and reduces the cost of system administration and maintenance at each location.
Offices with existing PBXs
Using TeleSynergy's standalone VoIP gateway, multiple office locations can be linked together and integrated with an existing PBX. It integrates easily with the existing PBX to enable IP telephony across multiple locations.

New offices needing VoIP implementation
The fully integrated VoIP functions of AbovEdge™ facilitate easy communication between headquarters and remote offices without any cost overheads. The AbovEdge™ at different locations works as a single system connecting all employees to the same dial plan. Multi-location extensions can be set up either with centralized trunks or individual trunks.
  • Subsidiary or Branches with Independent PBX
  • When the individual PBX architecture is implemented, each remote office is installed with a dedicated AbovEdge™ Call Server to handle incoming and outgoing calls. The Call Server at each location functions independently using the trunks lines connected to the local PSTN. This type of setup is good for multi-national companies with branches in different time zones or offices that need a local trunk for incoming/outgoing local calls.

    When the WorkAnywhere with Individualized Trunk architecture is implemented, a single AbovEdge™ Call Server is installed at the main location, which enables centralized management and reduces the cost of system administration and maintenance at each location. AbovEdge™ MG(VoIP Gateway, or, Media Gateway) installed at the remote locations will provide connection to local IP phones or analog phones. It also facilitates the interface to local Trunks to receive and make calls directly from local PSTN connection, which can be either FXO or T1/E1/PRI. With this combination of AbovEdge™ product mix, the remote extensions are extended from the main location and they work exactly like the local extensions connected to the AbovEdge™ Call Server at the main location, and they can still make or receive phone calls locally.
