The
new TelePCX 3.0 from TeleSynergy Research (Santa Clara, CA
- 408-260-9970, www.telesynergy.com) is a PC-based PBX combined
with an auto attendant/ voice mail system and can be controlled
by TeleSynergy's own GUI-based application generator (TeleAPG),
which gives you the ability to integrate advanced features
beyond that of a PBX such as unified messaging, IVR, I-phone
gateway, fax servers, screen pops, call recording, etc.
Thus,you
can expand your system from a PC-PBX to a call center application
and the "open platform" philosophy of TelePCX lets
you add third-party software and hardware, which connects
via TCP/IP.
TelePCX
runs on Windows NT or 95/98. It's based on TeleSynergy's own
TX-412X PBX board which supports four trunks, 12 extensions,
and two voice processing ports. Through the internal switch,
the two voice processing ports can connect any one of the
four trunks and 12 extensions and enables the auto attendant
and voicemail functions so that you won't need to buy another
voice board.
Voice
processing boards come in sizes of two, four, eight, 24 and
32 ports; fax boards in two or four ports; and the PBX board
has four trunks and 12 extensions. There is also a dual T-1/E-1
interface board.
When the
switch control boards (Model TS-1384A) and T-1 connectivity
are added, a system can operate multiple voice (TV-2242/TV-2282),
fax (TF-9142), and PBX boards (TX-412X) simultaneously and
support up to 48 trunks and 96 extensions, which is suitable
for most small to mid-sized offices.
The PC
itself can be fault resilient, fault tolerant, or just an
ordinary PC.
Just so
you don't have to reinvent the wheel, TeleSynergy's web-based
unified messaging system, TeleUMS can run on TelePCX, allowing
you to send, receive and manage your voice/ fax/ e-mail messages
from your desktop via a single mail box and friendly web based
interface. Faxes can be sent through the internet by a store-and-forward
method. Remote users or road warriors can access the UMS website
to check and respond to messages.
